SPICEWORLD Az angol lánycsapat, a Spice Girls második stúdióalbuma, amelyet 1997. november 1-jén adott ki a Virgin Records. Zenéje magában foglalja a dance-pop zenét és a produkciót. Az album világszerte kereskedelmi sikert aratott, meghosszabbítva az akkori úgynevezett "Spicemania"-t. A brit albumlista első helyén debütált, az első héten 190 000 példányban adták el, és két hét alatt 1,4 millió példányt szállítottak ki. Az album 13 országban is az első helyezést érte el, míg Ausztráliában, Kanadában, Franciaországban, Svájcban és az Egyesült Államokban az első három közé jutott. A Spiceworld több mint 14 millió példányban kelt el világszerte, ezzel a világ egyik legkelendőbb lányegyüttes albuma.
Az albumon négy kislemez született, amelyek mindegyike kereskedelmi sikert ért el. Első kislemeze, a "Spice Up Your Life" nemzetközi siker lett, és számos országban az első öt helyen végzett. HÁTTÉR

Miután megjelent a nagy sikerű bemutatkozó albumuk, a Spice, amely később minden idők egyik legkelendőbb albuma lett, a csoport bejelentette, hogy egy második stúdióalbumon dolgoznak. A Spiceworld felvétele és írása során a csoport a Spice World című zenés vígjátékot is leforgatta, amelyben a Spice Girls önmagukat alakítják. Az album a film filmzenéjeként működött, a legtöbb dal az albumon szerepelt a filmben, a "Move Over" kivételével.
1997-ben a Spice Girls hatalmas médiafigyelmet kapott, amibe beletartozott néhány vita is. A csoport először lépett fel élőben a brit királyi család előtt. A bemutatón megszegték a királyi protokollt, amikor Mel B, majd Geri Halliwell csókokat nyomott Károly herceg arcára, és megcsípte a fenekét. 1997 októberében a Spice Girls két randevús koncertet tartott Isztambulban Girl Power címmel! Élőben Isztambulban, a Pepsi támogatásával. A koncert során a csoport három új dalt mutatott be a Spiceworld-től: "Too Much", "Stop" és "Saturday Night Divas". A Spiceworld két promóciós kislemeze jelent meg az album 1997-es megjelenése előtt: "Step to Me" és "Move Over (Generation Next)". Mindkét dalt felhasználták a Pepsi reklámkampányaiban, és külön gyűrűhúzással is ajándékba adták. A "Step to Me" japán albumváltozata némileg eltér a dal eredeti kiadásától, míg a "Move Over (Generation Next)" csak élő változatként jelent meg a promóciós megjelenése során.

KRITIKA

A Spiceworld pozitív kritikákat kapott a zenekritikusoktól. Stephen Thomas Erlewine, az AllMusictól azt írta, hogy az album „konzisztensebb (és fülbemászóbb) dalkészlettel büszkélkedhet [mint a Spice], és mámorító móka-érzékkel büszkélkedhet”, és arra a következtetésre jutott, hogy „minden dalnak erős dallama és erős, masszív üteme van, legyen szó balladáról vagy táncszámról. SPICEWORLD25

A kibővített kiadás korábban kiadatlan élő verziókat és remixeket tartalmaz, a korábban elérhető B-oldalas "Walk of Life" és "Outer Space Girls" és egy megamix mellett. Az évfordulóval először 2022 júliusában csúfoltak, amikor kiadtak egy képet a Földről, amelyen egy „Spiceworld25” szalagcím látható. 1997-es „Step to Me” című dalukat először digitálisan adták ki az album bejelentésének napján. 2022. november 11-én, a Spiceworld25 megjelenése után a Spiceworld 2257 eladott példányával a 46. helyre lépett fel az Egyesült Királyság albumlistáján.

STEP TO ME Spice Girls brit popegyüttes dala. Írták a csoport tagjai Eliot Kennedyvel, a producer pedig az Absolute. Ez a dal felkerült a Spice Girls második albumának, a Spiceworld japán kiadására.
A dalt eredetileg a csoport Spice debütáló albumához írták, de nem érte el a végső vágást.
1997-ben a Pepsi elindított egy 1 millió GBP értékű „generation next” tévékampányt az Egyesült Királyságban – az eladásösztönzési tevékenységekkel párhuzamosan, nevezetesen egy olyan kampányt, amelyben a fogyasztók húsz rózsaszín gyűrűs fület gyűjtöttek össze a promóciós Pepsi dobozokból, elküldték, és megkapták a Spice Girls ingyenes CD-lemezét, a „Step to Me”-t – amely nem volt elérhető a High Street kiskereskedőiben. GIRL POWER! LIVE IN ISTANBUL Az angol Spice Girls lánycsapat két estés koncertje volt. A Pepsi által a csoport szponzori szerződésének részeként szervezett koncerteket a törökországi isztambuli Abdi İpekçi Arénában adták elő 1997. október 12-én és 13-án.

ADÁS

Az Egyesült Királyságban a koncert fénypontjait 1997. december 25-én közvetítette az ITV Spice Up Your Christmas! címmel. A karácsonyi adás a csoport külön köszöntését is magában foglalta.
Az Egyesült Államokban először 1998. január 17-én 21 órakor tették elérhetővé a teljes koncert adásvételét fizetős eseményként. (E.T.) a Showtime Event Television-on keresztül.[2] Az adás a Spice Girls In Concert: Wild címet viselte! A fizetős eseményt "nagyon sikeresnek" ítélték, és a koncertet ezt követően 1998. április 5-én mutatták be a Showtime fő csatornáján.

SPICEWORLD TOUR A Spice Girls angol lányegyüttes debütáló koncertturnéja. Első két stúdióalbumuk, a Spice (1996) és a Spiceworld (1997) támogatására indították el. A teltházas európai/észak-amerikai turné 1998 februárja és augusztusa között zajlott, majd 1998 szeptemberében tért vissza az Egyesült Királyságba, ahol stadionbemutatókat tartottak. A londoni Wembley Stadionban rendezett zárókoncertet lefilmezték és fizetős élőben közvetítették, majd 1998-ban VHS-ben, majd 2008-ban DVD-n is megjelentetik.
