Az angol énekesnő, Geri Halliwell harmadik stúdióalbuma. 2005. június 6-án jelent meg az Innocent Records gondozásában. Két kislemez jelent meg az albumról: a "Ride It", amely a negyedik helyet érte el a brit kislemezlistán, és a harmadik helyet a spanyol és skót listákon; valamint a "Desire", amely a 22. helyet érte el az Egyesült Királyságban.
Az album vegyes kritikákat kapott a kritikusoktól, és kereskedelmi szempontból csalódást okozott, 5432 eladott példánnyal a 41. helyen tetőzött, és mindössze egy hétig volt a brit albumlistán. Egy évnyi megjelenés után az eladások elérték a 10 000-et az Egyesült Királyságban.

HÁTTÉR

Halliwell számos dalt írt 2001 és 2004 között számos producerrel. Halliwell fel akarta venni a "Some Girls" című számot (Richard X és Hannah Robinson írta) az albumhoz, de a számot ehelyett Rachel Stevens kapta meg. Halliwell az albumot úgy jellemezte, mint „egy utazást a szenvedélytől és szerelemtől a félelemig és a reményig terjedő extrém érzelmek skáláján”. Elmondása szerint a Passion a fejlődését mutatja be énekesnőként és dalszerzőként egyaránt. Az énekesnő számára ez nem annyira arról szólt, hogy „rájöjjön arra, hogy ki vagyok, hanem inkább arról, hogy mi vagyok. Azt hiszem, ez az album egy igazi átmeneti ponton ér el dalszerzőként”
A Passiont népszerűsítő, There's Something About Geri című dokumentumfilm premierje a Channel 5-ön volt 2005. május 15-én. A dokumentumfilm bemutatta Geri életé és karrierjét, és Moszkvától Milánón át Nagy-Britanniáig követte nyomon énekesi karrierje újraindítására való felkészülését. A dokumentumfilm 1,1 millió nézőt vonzott, és az átlag feletti vasárnapi nézettséget ért el a csatornán. A nézettségi siker ellenére a média bírálta, amiért egy „önimádó, fájdalmasan hiú kislányt” mutatott be, akinek állandó kényeztetésre van szüksége”. Megbánta a dokumentumfilm elkészítését, és így nyilatkozott: „Nem kellett volna megtennem! Már a gondolatától is kiráz a hideg!”
Egy turnét terveztek az album népszerűsítésére, de azt lemondták.

DISCO SISTER

A "Disco Sister" volt Geri Halliwell tervezett harmadik albumának címe, amely végül nem jelent meg; helyére a 2005-ös Passion című albuma került. A pop-dance számokra összpontosító "Disco Sister" koncepciót a kiadó kérésére megváltoztatták, ami a Passion létrehozásához vezetett, amelynek szélesebb zenei irányvonala volt.

KRITIKA

A Passion című album vegyes kritikákat kapott a zenekritikusoktól. John Lucas az AllMusic-tól azt írta, hogy az album javulást jelent Halliwell előző, Scream If You Wanna Go Faster című lemezéhez képest. Talia Kraines a BBC Music-tól dicsérte Halliwellt, amiért nem próbált egy komoly, „hangulatos és titokzatos” lemezt készíteni. Az entertainment.ie egyik kritikája az albumot „könnyed, nyárias poplemezként” írta le „sima” produkcióval. Általánosságban elmondható, hogy a tempós, táncos-pop számokat és balladákat dicsérték, míg a jazzesebb dalokat, például a címadó dalt, több kritika érte. RIDE IT Egy dal, amelyet Geri Halliwell angol énekesnő vett fel harmadik stúdióalbumához, a Passionhoz (2005). 2004. november 22-én adta ki az Innocent Records az album első kislemezeként. A "Ride It" kereskedelmileg sikeres volt Európában; a negyedik helyet érte el az Egyesült Királyságban, a spanyol és skót slágerlistákon pedig a harmadik helyet érte el.

DESIRE Geri Halliwell angol énekesnő dala harmadik szólóstúdióalbumáról, a Passionról (2005). A dalt Henrik Korpi, Mathias Wollo, Terry Ronald és Halliwell írta, a producer pedig a Korpi & Blackcell. A „Desire” metaforikusan a személyt szexuális vágyakkal rendelkező macskaként írja le.
A dal 2005. május 30-án jelent meg az album második és egyben utolsó kislemezeként. A brit kislemezlistán a 22. helyet érte el, ezzel Halliwell szólókarrierjének eddigi legalacsonyabb csúcsát elérő kislemezévé vált.

LOVE NEVER LOVED ME A Desire megjelenése előtt azt hitték, kislemezként adják ki, de Geri félt kislemezként kiadni, mert nagyon személyes dal. A dal valakiről szól, akit megbántott a szerelem, de még mindig van remény, hogy megtalálja.
