Az angol lányegyüttes, a Spice Girls egyik legnagyobb slágeralbuma. 2007 novemberében világszerte megjelent fizikai formában, kivéve az Egyesült Államokat, ahol 2007. november 6-án korlátozott példányszámban, a Victoria's Secret gondozásában, 2008. január 15-én pedig teljes példányszámban jelent meg. Ez volt az első albumuk, amely hét év után jelent meg, és egy kísérő világkörüli turné is kísérte. Az album 2007 végére 1,7 millió példányban kelt el, és abban az évben a világ legkelendőbb lányegyüttes albuma volt. 2012 augusztusában, a Spice Girls londoni nyári olimpián való fellépése után az album újra felkerült a legtöbb nagy slágerlista top 10-es, 20-as és 30-as listájára világszerte, beleértve az Egyesült Királyságot, az Egyesült Államokat, Új-Zélandot és Ausztráliát is.
Az album egyetlen kislemeze, a "Headlines (Friendship Never Ends)" október 23-án jelent meg rádióban, digitálisan november 5-én, kereskedelmi forgalomban pedig november 19-én. A dalt a 2007-es év hivatalos Children in Need jótékonysági kislemezeként is bejelentették. A kislemeznek sikerült a harmadik helyre kerülnie a brit fizikai kislemezlistán.

HÁTTÉR

A média már régóta találgatta az újraegyesülés és egy greatest hits album kiadásának tervét, de a tervezett megjelenést először Melanie Brown erősítette meg 2005 júniusában. Azt nyilatkozta: „Újra összeállunk, mert mindannyian ezt akarjuk. Tudom, hogy mindenki erre vágyik. Lesz egy greatest hits album, és rengeteg új dalunk van, amit még senki sem hallott.” 2007-ben ismét pletykák kaptak szárnyra a csoport újraegyesülésével kapcsolatban. Melanie C a pletykákról azt mondta: „Most először van némi igazság a pletykákban… megtörténhet”, de ez csak „egy nagyon rövid időre… egy végső búcsúra” szólna, és köszönetet mondana a rajongóknak. A konferencia során a csoport megerősítette szándékát, hogy világméretű koncertkörútra indul, amely 2007. december 2-án Vancouverben kezdődik. A turné hat kontinenst érint 11 állomáson keresztül. „Újra Spice Girl akarok lenni. Olyanok vagyunk, mint a testvérek, és vannak vitáink, de a nap végére újra összejövünk” – mondta Emma Bunton, míg Melanie C megjegyezte, hogy a turné „egyenesen búcsú lesz a rajongóinktól”. KRITIKA

Stephen Thomas Erlewine, az AllMusic munkatársa azt írta, hogy az albumon szereplő dalok „pontosan úgy öregedtek, ahogy gondoltad”. Spence D., az IGN munkatársa a Greatest Hits című dalt „nagyjából olyannak” nevezte, „amilyet várnál”. A The Daily Collegian egyik újságírója szerint a greatest hits válogatásalbum „megmutatja, hogy amikor ez az öt nő énekel, fantasztikusan szólnak”, miközben azt is megjegyezte, hogy a tagok „megváltoztak az egymástól való távollétük alatt, de a Spice Girls jellegzetes hangzása ugyanaz maradt, mint mindig”. KISLEMEZEK

HEADLINES (FRIENDSHIP NEVER ENDS) Egy dal az angol lányegyüttes, a Spice Girls dala a Greatest Hits (2007) című legnagyobb slágeralbumukra. A dalt a Spice Girls, Richard Stannard és Matt Rowe írta, míg a producer az utóbbi kettő volt. Az album egyetlen kislemezeként jelent meg 2007. november 5-én a Virgin Records gondozásában. A dal volt az első kereskedelmi forgalomban kapható kislemez, amelyen a csoport eredeti felállása szerepelt Geri Halliwell 1998-as távozása óta. Ez volt a 2007-es év hivatalos Children in Need kislemeze is. Ez az utolsó stúdióalbumuk.
A "Headlines (Friendship Never Ends)" egy középtempós ballada, amely dalszövegesen szól a csoport újraegyesüléséről és a két évtizedes közös barátságukról. A dal általában vegyes és pozitív kritikákat kapott a zenekritikusoktól, egyesek a csoport "klasszikusának" nevezték, míg mások úgy érezték, hogy nem volt elég jó.
